2001 Suburba No Heat To Floor
It sounds like a vacuum issue to me but i am pretty much a shade forest mechanic so i thought i would check in with the experts.
2001 suburba no heat to floor. 2001 silverado with 191 000 miles. 2003 suburban z71 with duel climate control and rear controls no heat in front or rear sometimes rear will blow warm if reving rpms countinously. The heat in the silverado is supplied by the hot engine coolant running through the engine cooling channels. Is there a switch that opens this up are could it be stopped up.
What happenes some times is the vent wont switch over from hot to cold or vise versa. Failure to allow sufficient time to calibrate can lead to the. Passenger side and all the rear vents work fine with lots of heat. His auto parts store repair manual is lacking in this department.

09 24 09 04 19 pm post 1777644 just bought a 2001 suburban. When cycling the duel climate control levers up and down there is a change in air flow but not temp. Blows cold air out of vents. If its the computer climate controlled series then it might be the the vents.
Ck p u suburban and yukon tahoe actuator calibration starting in 2001 whenever the battery is disconnected or when replacing any of the hvac actuator motors mode door or temperature blend the hvac system will have to go through a relearn or calibration process. I had the same problem but reversed no heat in front and it worked up to the last time i had switched it from hot to cold. Just noticed that the heater does not work. The line going into the heater core is hot from the engine but cold on the return line to the radiator. I changed the heater door control motor a couple of years ago because it used to get stuck in the open position causing us to pull over and reset the heater control by turning off the ign.

If you are not getting heat in your suburban but the coolant seems to be making its way into the heater core then you may need a new heater core and thermostat. I have a 2001 chevy suburban and the air condition.
